One common denominator in all real estate is dirt. Every piece of real estate is built or purchased on dirt. There are many things to look at in relationship to dirt. Dirt is a small part of the big picture.
Through the years, it has been proven that the more land you control the more wealth you will amass. Land has a place in every portfolio. My philosophy is to invest in real estate that produces a monthly income. Land deals are alligators eating your investable funds. One exception to my philosophy is the lyrics from the song by the Counting Crows which says it best: “they paved paradise put up a parking lot.”
