I have always looked at the due-diligence process as the answer to the question, “am I really buying what the seller said he was selling me?”

The due diligence process on a multifamily property is essential for several reasons which we will cover over the next few posts.  When performing due diligence there are multiple tasks both physically and operationally that are necessary to perform.

The due-diligence process allows investors to gain a comprehensive understanding of the property’s financial health and potential risks. By analyzing income and expense statements, rent rolls, and occupancy rates, investors can assess the property’s income-generating capacity and evaluate its profitability.
